December Blitz - Part 1

Thursday - Rock Concert

Went to a concert this night and found it difficult to approach as most of the HBs were paying attention to the bands.

Approach 1: Was standing near the bar next to a HB7. In between sets I opened with a simple “hi” and talked to her about how terrible the first band was. She agreed and then ejected.

Approach 2: Was standing on the main floor when a tall HB8 was walking by our group with a balloon in her mouth. I made eye contact and asked if she was doing whippits. She laughed and just said it was air. I busted on her, saying she was making fart noises with the balloon, which she then demonstrated. She walked off once the next band came on.

Friday - Pub Sarging

Friday, me and my wing went out to the local bars. I ended up drinking too much but still managed some approaches.

Approach 3: “hi” to HB6 playing darts, she says hi back but then ignores me while resuming her game.

Approach 4: I don’t really remember this one because I was sloshed by this time. Apparently I said something to a HB about her scarf and she was put off by my drunken ramblings. My friends said it was actually very comical. I wasn’t going to include this approach in the mission because I couldn’t remember it but I think it’ll serve as a good reminder of what not to do.

Saturday - Birthday Party

I actually interacted with a lot of HBs this night but they don’t count as cold approaches because I already knew most everyone at the party. I did get to approach two sets and practice some DHV stories on my existing social circle friends.

Approach 5 & 6: These ones were easy. I basically approached two different mixed sets with, “Hi, I’m M.Savage, how do you know everyone?” Probably the easiest openers ever. They didn’t really go much further then small talk but still good.

Summary

I’m averaging two approaches per day while sarging, which is below my goal of at least five per day. I’m thinking that I need to change my sarging to include more solo day game than only night game when I’m out with my friends. Also, I need to watch out for the alcohol thing more. I’m going to hit up the mall a few days this week after work for some day sarging. Hopefully this will help to get my approach quantity up higher.
