Ok, so I went out this Friday with two of my buddies to hit up some bars, pick-up women, and generally have a good time. Now that I am actively pursuing seduction I will be posting these field reports on a regular basis for the purposes of keeping track of things that I did right and things that I need to learn from. Now a bit about two of my regular wing-men whose names, for the purposes of this blog and to keep their identities anonymous, will be referred to as “Mac” and “Stick”.
Mac is what you’d call a natural. He does not study pick-up or seduction but has learned extensively through trial and error how to pull girls back to his place pretty much any time he goes out. He is tall, fairly good looking, stylish, and is able to have fun witty banter with almost any beautiful woman. To watch him pick-up a woman in a bar is like watching a master jedi at work, it’s almost beyond belief how women will fall under his spell.
Stick is a very tall, skinny, pale guy. He is more like me in a sense that he’s a Recovering Average Frustrated Chump (rAFC). He spent most of his college career as a shy timid guy who didn’t socialize much. About a year ago he has pulled a complete 180 and is now extremely talkative and social. He has turned out to be one of my best wingmen. What I like about Stick is that he has balls. He is not afraid to approach women and get blown out like I have been.
Friday, August 25th
We started Friday night out by pre-gaming at Stick’s place and then making our way to a going away party. Unfortunately, due to the weather the party had been cancelled so we decided to hit up a bar downtown.
Upon entering the bar, Mac immediately spots two cute girls sitting at the corner of the bar. We make our way down to their vicinity. I go to order a round of drinks and to my dismay, Mac and Stick open the two girls while I’m ordering so I end up becoming the third wheel of the interaction…shit! I get introduced to the girls and then they go back to having conversations with my two buddies. I decide that I don’t want to cock block my wingmen so I wander to the other side of the bar with the intent to approach other women.
This is about the time that the approach anxiety started to kick in. The fear of opening was becoming greater and greater until I was socially paralyzed. I spent the next 45 minutes just leaning against the wall trying to remain cool but failing to approach a single female. This was a very difficult thing for me as I came to the realization that I had no balls….just pathetic.
After giving up on making an approach, I went back to join in with my wings and their targets. It seemed that Stick’s girl had become un-interested in him and began a conversation with me as I joined the group. I told her some interesting stories I had experienced which she found very funny and even begged me for more stories, but I could not think of any others at that time. While talking to her I believe I was displaying good body language and was giving her some light kino to which she did not resist. I’d say the interaction went fairly well at first, but she eventually got bored as Stick and I ran out of material. The target left eventually once she saw that Mac and his girl were going to hook-up that night.
Me and Stick left the bar to find a new venue. After hitting up two other places lacking in female patrons we just decided to call it quits for the night and went home.
Not a very good first field report but it’s a start for now. Clearly, the main problem at this point is simply being able to make an approach. I think one thing I need to do is pick one or two default openers that I can rely on if nothing else comes to mind. The second thing is to not hesitate when I see an attractive woman to approach, basically adhering to Mystery’s 3 Second Rule. The good news is that my stories seem to have worked well and will become quite useful once I get past the approach and open phase of my training.
